A Brief History of Opening Title Sequence.

Originally, opening sequences were used to just present the title and characters starring in the production. This was during the silent film era when films were just starting off. The opening title sequence wold last only a few seconds and indicated the start of the film.

Here is an example of a silent film opening title sequence.

As film developed so did the opening title sequences, they were used to not only introduce the characters and film name but also to set the location where the film will open with.

Over the years film makers have created amazing, new, opening title sequences, which really attract a wide audience due to the amazing effects and ideas used in them.

Even over the last 10 years there has been huge changes in the way opening title sequences have been made, as animation has been introduced even during action films.
